Catching up..
I have been doing some stitching, I feel rather scattered, I have my Shepherds bush Piece, below is a picture of the floss that the pup got into, it is a kitted piece so it took some time to sort the colors and then she destroyed it all in a minute, lol. At least I had all the floss to replace. Second Pic is the progress I am making on it...I don't work on it as much as I should. The third is the cord from my light that I use to stitch with, self explanatory. Next is my front door, I saw this cute lil wreath on Pinterest and ran out and made my own, it uses fun fur yarn over styrafoam wreath, I decorated it with ribbon and button flowers. some pics of the pups in the pool on Friday, it was brutally hot. I also made a trip to my LNS, bought a few patterns, some Miscellaneous linen cuts, spent way to much. I have pics of my Stitched with love piece but can't share those yet. and lastly, My LHN Iced Tea pattern finally made it to me, I ordered this back on March 1. I won't be ordering from this mail order shop again, despite the sale that she had, it was more frustrating waiting and waiting and waiting.
Now, I should be sitting down stitching but I feel like baking, I'm thinking chocolate chip cookies or muffins? they are both so good...
I hope you have a wonderful day !

Pleasant day
Good morning dear friends,
well I haven't done much this morning, I just finished baking a batch of Chocolate chip sour cream muffins, oh they are so good, recipe to follow.
I realized I havent' shown any pictures of stitch stuff for a while but I realize that everything I am currently working on is for an exchange. This will be my first time participating in the stitched with love exchange and then I'm doing a 1:1 summer exchange with another friend.
I am having withdrawals from my LNS, funds are low so I haven't been up to her for a few weeks, I know I'll just get myself into trouble, but tomorrow is pay day for dh....lets see, he's home friday-Sunday, guess I'll have to sneak up there on Monday. I am in need of small end cuts that she has a basket of and sells relatively cheap, it's always nice to play with a new color or smaller/larger count of linen etc.
OH, have you seen the new pieces that LHN is getting ready to release? Oh they are gorgeous, Yellow houses and Little House, I can't wait to get my hands on them. You'll have to check her website out.
OK, well here is the small progress i've made on the shepherds bush Piece and a picture of the muffins...
Sour Cream Chocolate chip muffins from www.thebestmomontheblock.blogspot.com
yield 12, over to 350*
1 1/2 cup flour, 2/3 cup sugar, 3/4 teaspoon baking powder, 3/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 egg, 1 cup sour cream, 5 Tablespoon melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl combine the dry ingredients, in another bowl combine the wet ingredients, add the wet to the dry just until moistened. Fold in the chips. Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake at 350* for 18-20 minutes, cool for 5 min before removing from pan.
I also sprinkled them with corse sugar like the bakeries do. I got it in the baking isle at wal-mart- they are so yummy.

Thank You Shirlee- PIF received
Oh, how exciting it is to find the only thing in the mail is for ME! NO Bills, but a wonderful goodie envelope of stitch stuff. Thank you Shirlee for your thoughtfulness. I participated in a PIF exchange that Shirlee sponsored a few months back. Here is a pic of all the goodies, some needles, a needle magnet, 5 skeins of Crescent colors, and two little projects to work on.
now, my puppy lost her ever loving mind yesterday, she got into my floss for a kitted shepherds bush piece that i am contracted to do, and I put her outside and I caught her eating my Peaonies! ughh, my husband kindly reminded me that "You wanted her", lol, yes I did and luckily I have all the floss that she tore up, it was dmc floss, not any overpriced speciality threads. phew. she is still alive and I actually worked on it for a few hours this morning. She is a big girl, she was 12 weeks old on Sunday and just growing to fast. I guess the mischief she got into yesterday tired her out because all she did was sleep today...

An Exchange Received and a Sigh
Dear friends, today was uncle Chucks funeral and it went as well as can be expected, but even though a sad occasion it was a celebration of "Going Home", may God Bless him and the family and remember, we'll meet again uncle chuck.
I received my exchange piece from Lynn for our Seasonal exchange. I love it, it's a JBW design "A very Merry Spring", I've done the autumn one and simply fell in love with it so it a pleasant surprise to receive the Spring one. It was finished in a cute little pillow, now to find just the right place from it.
I also bought one of Blue Ribbon Girl's pin pillows that she had on her ETSY shop, it was wrapped so darling, i didn't want to open it, but I bought it to use so after a quick photo, I dove into the wrapping and pulled it out, I love the brown and blue colors.
I hope I get some stitching Therapy done tomorrow, right now I am tired...mentally.
I hope that everyone has a fantastic day.

Home of a Needleworker Too!- Happy Dance
Yeah, I finished it! I did change the "H" to match the rest of the color and didn't add the little house incorporated in the "H" either but I am pleased as to how pretty it is. Now the bigger question is what to work on Next, I have a few Wips in my basket that are calling for attention, I have a contracted piece that is huge that I really need to apply more time to, and I have a new exchange that I have chosen a pattern but need to go and pull the floss and fabric for. decisions designs...
We are expecting more storms this afternoon and evening so I should have time to get some stitching done. I hope everyone has a fantastic week.

time flies
Hello dear friends,
It's been a busy weekend, Uncle Chuck passed Friday evening, I'm happy he is at peace and his family no longer has to watch him suffer. DH has been rather melancholy this weekend. Service is Wednesday. Thank you for your prayers.
Friday evening DH and I went to the Avengers for a date night and had a fantastic time, loved the movie, can't wait for the DVD. I really suggest if you like the Marvel series that you take in this movie.
This weekend we had a soccer tournament by Wright Pat Air Force Base, it was a longggg day, first game at 9 am, second at 4:30 and then another at 9Am today, alas the boys played great though they were literally out of their league. Howerver, it was such a beautiful day today, and yesterday afternoon, not to hot, just right. I loved being outside in the sunshine. We took the puppy, she is so big and was a little lady today, everyone was loving on her.
Unfortunately it was not a productive weekend for stitching so I don't have anything to report or show. Tomorrow I do home to finish my Home of a needleworker by LHN, just one more letter to do and a few little things to finish the piece. I think I am going to try framing this one on my own....I think.
Hope everyone has a pleasant Monday!
Hugs

a few updates
Good morning friends,
time is flying by, kids are down to 6 weeks of school! the puppy is now bigger than my Frenchie and if I tire her out enough, I actually get some stitching done :)
Lets see, Housebreaking is going ok, we had a little set back, she is under treatment for a UTI, her anatomy isn't ideal, her lil peep is tucked in a bit and can easily trap bacteria, so with her feeling like she had to go every 5 min sometimes we made it outside, sometimes we didn't, but, she is doing much better, no accidents yesterday and none so far this morning. I'm finding working with her much easier when the kids are at school! She is a good puppy for the most part, she is now 10 weeks old and growing like a weed.
Duncan, well he gives me a look that says please take her back, i promise to be good...lol he does ok with her but she is very playful and he would rather just nap and snuggle. The good thing is having her gets me out walking 2-3 times a day and that is good for me.
I made a lot of progress sat, dh was on his golfing trip with navy buddies at myrtle beach and it was awful weather, rained all day sat, so my daughter and I went to the dollar theater and took in John carter and then we made homemade philly cheese steaks, yumm and my son, daughter and I watched movies all evening. it was quite fun. I think sat is the only day i did any stitching, the rest of the time was running for one reason or another.
Uncle chuck is still hanging on, I can't believe it, he's been home for 2 weeks and doesn't know anyone, not eating etc...we still wait for the call.
I've just been reading blogs like crazy yesterday and today and started searching for the perfect pattern for my new exchange that I'm participating in, "stitched with love" I'm very excited and now that i know her likes and dislikes, i have started to prepare my package for her.
I hope everyone has a safe and fantastic week..
