Wishing all my blogging friends and family a Happy Easter!
Lets see, a little bit of catch up needs to be done.
I have started Mercy Mercy by La D Da, I'm in love with it. I also started a free Cross Eyed Cricket called Slicker Bunny, it's a pattern from 1998 I think her web site said and she brought it back because it was so popular. I can't seem to get it to come up on this computer but it's adorable, anyways...i got a lot done and then ripped it out when I realized I choose and then cut the wrong size, so now instead over 2 I will do over 1.
This is way off task, but does anyone have a secret way of hard boiling eggs. I've tried all the ways the computer suggests, cookbooks and of course food network and yet my shells always stick and make a mess, but I do make a mean deviled egg. I have these nifty carry cases that i bought from Bed Bath and Beyond.
I finished a RAK pattern that Catherine from Bramblewood Stitches sent me, Joy to Ewe, now just need to make it into an ornie.
I also made sweet Challah bread the other day, well it's gone, yummy!
Also made a pineapple pie for today, it's also from Catherine too, so I will let you know how that goes down. We are on way to the in-laws.
Have a safe and blessed Easter...

Everything looks so yummy! I have always had the best luck with boiling eggs if I peel them right after boiling them. I usually cool them down in cold water to make them easier to handle. If I leave them in the water or wait to peel them later, I always have trouble peeling them. I also think they are harder to peel if the eggs are a little older.
ReplyDeleteAww such sweet post...such yummy post :)
ReplyDeleteYup I also cool down the egg in cold water and then peel it..
Your stitching is looking so pretty...ewe is so cute..
Big hugs x
Your start on Mercy, Mercy looks really good!!! I do like the fabric that you chose. That is the sweetest little "Ewe" design. It's going to make a darling ornament. Your bread and piec looks scrumptious! Hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteYour bakings looks so delicious! We are having very white easter and it is still snowing. I can´t believe it.

Aawww....your Ewe is so cute!! That bread looks delicious ~ you'll have to let me know how that pie came out ~ I actually got that recipe from someone another stitchy blogger, but can not remember who! As for the eggs, I always cool them in ice water ~ sometimes it's easy and sometimes not ~ I have heard that the age of the egg will affect the easiness of the peel. Now I am hungry for deviled eggs....
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!!!
ReplyDeleteMmmm! Your baking looks yummy!! :)

I am afraid I cannot help with the eggs, mine also often come out a mess! :(
