Good afternoon friends,
Is everyone enjoying spring weather, I hope so, I love these 65-75 degree temps, makes for good sleeping.
I was pleasantly surprised this afternoon, mr. mailman brought me a RAK from my dear friend Denise at Riverside Stitching...there is a funny twist to this story, jokes on me, see, she made this lovely pincushion with her new threads from Victorian Motto sampler and even stitched a D on the back, for Denise, right? Sneaky gal that she is sent it to me and the D was for Dawn. Also included are some beautiful pins. I've just been sitting here enjoying it. Who doesn't love a homemade surprise?
It's the prettiest, simplest, pincushion, stuffed with walnut shells i think? pretty heavy. It's just lovely and I thank you dear friend for thinking of me!
I wish I had stitching updates to share but I spent the entire weekend with family and at a soccer tournament (U-19 boys) the kids came in second place, Yay! Lucky me, my son is keeper, always sitting on pins and needles hoping he doesn't get hurt. So far so good, but he has gotten plowed over a few times by nasty players.
This was an unusual tournament as all the teams in our bracket tied, no one advanced, we had to do round robin penalty kicks to see who advanced, and we did :0
Ohh, I did manage to put in an online order for a pajama party sale, just two patterns, I wasn't too bad was I?
Thank you so much for stopping by, have a wonderful evening.

April Showers bring may flowers
Good morning dear friends,
Mid week brought us lots of sun, open windows and a beautiful breeze, then the rain came, over night my grass turned shamrock green, grew, well lets say it is now overgrown, and the flowers popped out of the soil, I have tulips wanting to open, hyacinths open up, roses are getting leaves, birds are singing and spring might be here.
I did a quick little stitch last night. It was a freebie pattern if you bought the button, not sure how I want to finish it. Maybe I'll make a run to hobby lobby and see if I can find anything that catches my eye, otherwise, perhaps a cheerful ornament to hang on my kitchen window.

Mercy Mercy Happy Dance
Good afternoon dear friends,
I know it's been a few more days gone since I've wanted to post, my excuse is that each day I thought I would have Mercy Mercy done, ran out of a color and also did some ripping out, ran out yesterday to LNS and got the thread, finished it today and am so happy I have another finish for the year. I really love this piece. The pictures do the colors no justice. The linen has more hues of green in it.
I've already started LHN Needleworker....from this years market, I have been dying to jump into that for awhile too. It was a toss up between that and Crumpets and Tea....of course I need to continue to work on Baby it's cold outside.
Oh the sun is shining today, the wind is blowing and the mail just came....YEH, my Hooked on Exchanges Spring exchange arrived, all the way from the Netherlands, I'm so excited, Mylene did the most beautiful job on this mattress finish, I've never done one of these (yet), ther work is beautiful. I love this pattern, I bought it yesterday, lol, only a dollar, it's S is for Spring by Prairie Schooler. I saw this on Carols blog and since I didn't win her giveaway, I grabbed it to do for myself, see God new that Mylene had sent this to me and I didn't need 2!
Just a few pictures of the pups this week, Duncan doing his normal poses. What a attention hog. I was doing yardwork and Chole got scared of the noise from the rake on the concrete and ran to one of her hiding places...
Hope everyone has a great week! Now, back to stitching.
Be blessed

Happy Easter!!
Wishing all my blogging friends and family a Happy Easter!
Lets see, a little bit of catch up needs to be done.
I have started Mercy Mercy by La D Da, I'm in love with it. I also started a free Cross Eyed Cricket called Slicker Bunny, it's a pattern from 1998 I think her web site said and she brought it back because it was so popular. I can't seem to get it to come up on this computer but it's adorable, anyways...i got a lot done and then ripped it out when I realized I choose and then cut the wrong size, so now instead over 2 I will do over 1.
This is way off task, but does anyone have a secret way of hard boiling eggs. I've tried all the ways the computer suggests, cookbooks and of course food network and yet my shells always stick and make a mess, but I do make a mean deviled egg. I have these nifty carry cases that i bought from Bed Bath and Beyond.
I finished a RAK pattern that Catherine from Bramblewood Stitches sent me, Joy to Ewe, now just need to make it into an ornie.
I also made sweet Challah bread the other day, well it's gone, yummy!
Also made a pineapple pie for today, it's also from Catherine too, so I will let you know how that goes down. We are on way to the in-laws.
Have a safe and blessed Easter...

A Finish and A Rak
Good afternoon friends,
I started my day off with finishing three pieces, 1 cannot show you as it is for an exchange but I made Springtime Happy Dance by Widgets and Wool (I love them)
then I finished I love you more by Hands On Design, it's a freebie, I did it for my mom as she always told me "I love you more" and then she does it to my daughter too...
I have been making FOBs out of beads and sent one to Grace since she collects thimbles and has been under the weather for a while now... Grace sent me my first RAK of the year much to my surprise and I wanted to do something nice for her.
I finished Blossom Home from All through the night and took it to LNS to get framed today...It was done on 30 ct Tin Room from Weeks Dye Works and the required threads. I did leave off some little highlights in the hearts, it was in Onyx and I didn't like them, daughter agreed so I ripped them out.
And.....of course one can't come out of a LNS empty-handed so I bought the linen for La D Da's Mercy Mercy and Little House Needleworks "Needleworker" and amazingly left without any new charts! I bought some WDE for the Mercy Mercy, Needleworker included them with the chart.
I keep hearing the credit card rewards commercial in my head, the one where they go rock climbing, "what girl doesn't need new shoes?" well shoes are nice, don't get me wrong, but in my happy place it's linen and threads, lol!
Well it was a long weekend, both kids were in a soccer tournament that our club hosted, 4 games Sat, 4 games Sun, Sat I got sunburned, Sunday I got Frostbit, lol. Sunday was bad, the snow was really big and wet, it was sooo cold outside, they actually cancelled the last 2 games on Sunday. Thankfully!
Here is the view from my car, after my daughters first game, my son was on his own, lol, I was with him in spirit. :) He was just happy to jump into a heated car after the game.
DH started his basement project, he is finishing it, half of the framing is done, we hope to get it completed by Thanksgiving,we he is doing the majority of the work, I though in my two cents here and there and lots of "looks great dear"- he loves to stay busy so who am I to interfere? Well, perhaps if I see a pole being secured I'll have to speak up, lol.
Anyways, So happy to be reading everyones blogs and seeing all the spring projects being completed, everything looks wonderful!
Hugs to all...

RAK arrived
Look what showed up in today's mail? The cutest pillow arrived from June (Butterfly wings), she had it as a giveaway from our RAK group that we both belong to.
Not only did I get the pillow, but she through in a few extra goodies, a lil chocolate bunny (gone), some easter tissues, and some ribbons.
Thank you June!

Time is Flying... and so is the snow
Good morning everyone!
I'd like to make a warm welcome to several new followers, thank you so much for stopping by for a visit! Hugs to everyone!
Well, I love my Apple products but Icloud is a bit fussy when it comes to sending my photos to the computer, lol, technology, need I say more? I was about to give up and I just took a quick peak and they are finally loading now :)
My hand is doing very well, thank you everyone for asking, I've been doing the deep tissue massage to get rid of the nasty scare, it has it 's moments, like I have little strength yet, lol, but I can stitch and stitch I have! Yeh, it's hard to put down the needle, i've neglected some of my household chores with the excuse of my hand...but I have no excuse why I am stitching :)
They finally posted our Stitched with Love Winter Exchange,
here are the goodies I received from Kathy at Kathy's Sit and Stitch....
Here are the goodies that I sent to Christine in England at Whilst Iris Naps
Bent Creek called Cozy, miscellaneous linen and required threads
I converted the WDW threads to DMC for With Thy Needle and Thread Crumpets and Tea, there are so many colors that I don't have, DH will divorce me if I spend all that $$ on "string" ugh.
oh, I think I need to put a disclaimer on my exchange pieces about my specialty thread- I call it Chloe and the color is Golden Retriever! No matter how much i brush and vacuum her fur always ends up into my pieces, she demands attention when i stitch, she flops herself across my lap until i give her a hug....then I have brand new fiber added into my pieces. Anyone else has this problem?
OK, back to Crumpets and Tea, the colors are delicious, I can't wait to start on it, after I of course finish some WIPS, or I may add it to my WIP collection. OH, I am so in love with all those charts I snagged from Market, I just want to start them all.
Oh, yes, March 21 and we are having flurries right now, nothing major, but I would really like some warmer weather, my flowers are starting to poke up through the ground, the poor wee robins don't know what to think! Both the kids are in a soccer tournament this weekend and myself and DH will be out in the frigid temps right along with the kids, I suppose I need to pull some blankets and toss them into the truck. It's going to be a long weekend....:)
A small piece I was able to finish fairly quickly, A spring Day, so cute.
I think that is it for now, or at least all that I can remember at the moment! I'm sure I have forgotten something...
Thanks for the visit.
