Wishing all my blogging friends and family a Happy Easter!
Lets see, a little bit of catch up needs to be done.
I have started Mercy Mercy by La D Da, I'm in love with it. I also started a free Cross Eyed Cricket called Slicker Bunny, it's a pattern from 1998 I think her web site said and she brought it back because it was so popular. I can't seem to get it to come up on this computer but it's adorable, anyways...i got a lot done and then ripped it out when I realized I choose and then cut the wrong size, so now instead over 2 I will do over 1.
This is way off task, but does anyone have a secret way of hard boiling eggs. I've tried all the ways the computer suggests, cookbooks and of course food network and yet my shells always stick and make a mess, but I do make a mean deviled egg. I have these nifty carry cases that i bought from Bed Bath and Beyond.
I finished a RAK pattern that Catherine from Bramblewood Stitches sent me, Joy to Ewe, now just need to make it into an ornie.
I also made sweet Challah bread the other day, well it's gone, yummy!
Also made a pineapple pie for today, it's also from Catherine too, so I will let you know how that goes down. We are on way to the in-laws.
Have a safe and blessed Easter...

A Finish and A Rak
Good afternoon friends,
I started my day off with finishing three pieces, 1 cannot show you as it is for an exchange but I made Springtime Happy Dance by Widgets and Wool (I love them)
then I finished I love you more by Hands On Design, it's a freebie, I did it for my mom as she always told me "I love you more" and then she does it to my daughter too...
I have been making FOBs out of beads and sent one to Grace since she collects thimbles and has been under the weather for a while now... Grace sent me my first RAK of the year much to my surprise and I wanted to do something nice for her.
I finished Blossom Home from All through the night and took it to LNS to get framed today...It was done on 30 ct Tin Room from Weeks Dye Works and the required threads. I did leave off some little highlights in the hearts, it was in Onyx and I didn't like them, daughter agreed so I ripped them out.
And.....of course one can't come out of a LNS empty-handed so I bought the linen for La D Da's Mercy Mercy and Little House Needleworks "Needleworker" and amazingly left without any new charts! I bought some WDE for the Mercy Mercy, Needleworker included them with the chart.
I keep hearing the credit card rewards commercial in my head, the one where they go rock climbing, "what girl doesn't need new shoes?" well shoes are nice, don't get me wrong, but in my happy place it's linen and threads, lol!
Well it was a long weekend, both kids were in a soccer tournament that our club hosted, 4 games Sat, 4 games Sun, Sat I got sunburned, Sunday I got Frostbit, lol. Sunday was bad, the snow was really big and wet, it was sooo cold outside, they actually cancelled the last 2 games on Sunday. Thankfully!
Here is the view from my car, after my daughters first game, my son was on his own, lol, I was with him in spirit. :) He was just happy to jump into a heated car after the game.
DH started his basement project, he is finishing it, half of the framing is done, we hope to get it completed by Thanksgiving,we he is doing the majority of the work, I though in my two cents here and there and lots of "looks great dear"- he loves to stay busy so who am I to interfere? Well, perhaps if I see a pole being secured I'll have to speak up, lol.
Anyways, So happy to be reading everyones blogs and seeing all the spring projects being completed, everything looks wonderful!
Hugs to all...

RAK arrived
Look what showed up in today's mail? The cutest pillow arrived from June (Butterfly wings), she had it as a giveaway from our RAK group that we both belong to.
Not only did I get the pillow, but she through in a few extra goodies, a lil chocolate bunny (gone), some easter tissues, and some ribbons.
Thank you June!

Time is Flying... and so is the snow
Good morning everyone!
I'd like to make a warm welcome to several new followers, thank you so much for stopping by for a visit! Hugs to everyone!
Well, I love my Apple products but Icloud is a bit fussy when it comes to sending my photos to the computer, lol, technology, need I say more? I was about to give up and I just took a quick peak and they are finally loading now :)
My hand is doing very well, thank you everyone for asking, I've been doing the deep tissue massage to get rid of the nasty scare, it has it 's moments, like I have little strength yet, lol, but I can stitch and stitch I have! Yeh, it's hard to put down the needle, i've neglected some of my household chores with the excuse of my hand...but I have no excuse why I am stitching :)
They finally posted our Stitched with Love Winter Exchange,
here are the goodies I received from Kathy at Kathy's Sit and Stitch....
Here are the goodies that I sent to Christine in England at Whilst Iris Naps
Bent Creek called Cozy, miscellaneous linen and required threads
I converted the WDW threads to DMC for With Thy Needle and Thread Crumpets and Tea, there are so many colors that I don't have, DH will divorce me if I spend all that $$ on "string" ugh.
oh, I think I need to put a disclaimer on my exchange pieces about my specialty thread- I call it Chloe and the color is Golden Retriever! No matter how much i brush and vacuum her fur always ends up into my pieces, she demands attention when i stitch, she flops herself across my lap until i give her a hug....then I have brand new fiber added into my pieces. Anyone else has this problem?
OK, back to Crumpets and Tea, the colors are delicious, I can't wait to start on it, after I of course finish some WIPS, or I may add it to my WIP collection. OH, I am so in love with all those charts I snagged from Market, I just want to start them all.
Oh, yes, March 21 and we are having flurries right now, nothing major, but I would really like some warmer weather, my flowers are starting to poke up through the ground, the poor wee robins don't know what to think! Both the kids are in a soccer tournament this weekend and myself and DH will be out in the frigid temps right along with the kids, I suppose I need to pull some blankets and toss them into the truck. It's going to be a long weekend....:)
A small piece I was able to finish fairly quickly, A spring Day, so cute.
I think that is it for now, or at least all that I can remember at the moment! I'm sure I have forgotten something...
Thanks for the visit.

Happy Monday
Good morning friends and a special wave to my new followers, thank you for stopping by.
I finished Hope on Saturday night and started a new stitch, Blossoms Home by All Through the Night.
I was so happy to get stitching in with little discomfort and actually finish it. My hand gets tired and I don't have a lot of strength yet but I can stitch! The scar is healing well equally. A special thank you to everyone who has been emailing me asking how I have been doing, your friendship is truly appreciated.
It's a very rainy Monday here...perfect for stitching! Have a wonderful week everyone, be blessed.
Hugs and stitches,

Catching up
Good morning dear friends,
Just got back from the doctors office, yeh the stitches are out but I look like I belong to the Frankenstein family. With lots of massaging the scar will fade and it will look like I never had the surgery.
So here are the pictures of me now....stitches out but tight and tender, will go away with time.
Also, if anyone is going to have surgery then let me offer this tip...use Glad's pree n seal wrapper over your bandages in the shower and you won't have to worry about wrapping in plastic bags and still getting wet, this stuff is a life saver...
Also here is my lovely stitched with Love exchange I received from Kathy at Kathy's sit and stitch
She made the most beautiful snowman pillow, the tiniest of beads are attached. It is a Ursala Michaels design done on 32 count white Lugana. I wish the pictures would show how beautiful it is.
I sent Christina of Whilstirisnaps in lovely England a pinkeep from a pattern Bent Creek called Cozy done on miscellaneous linen and Dmc floss.
I also did another Seasonal Exchange and did a pinkeep from Jbw designs called French Country Ice Skate. This went to Germany, for Gaby, but she has no blog.
My baby Duncan turned 6 yesterday, it was another lazy I eventful day for him. It snowed overnight so Chloe was out playing in it, Duncan prefers the fireplace.
I think this is all for now. Have a blessed day now I'm off to see if I can get some stitches in. ;)
Hugs and Stitches

dang it, I can't get the photos to load, maybe latter, but here are the titles of what i bought so you can agree I've lost my mind
All through the Night- Jack, Harry, Henry, Sew Happy, Blossoms Home,& Noel.
Lizzie Kate- Chicks kit
LHN- Needleworker Kit
With Thy Needle and Thread- Three Tulips & Crumpets and Tea
La D Da- Mercy Mercy
some linen and a sheep beaded fob
so my bag full, my wallet empty and hand bandaged and literally aching- I set home to stare and smile at my new stash :)
